Meet Logie’s Longhorn Cattle
Monday 25th March & Thursday 28th March
You can’t get much more local than the chef being able to see his produce grazing in the fields from his kitchen window, but that’s exactly the case at Logie Steading.
As part of the Moray Speyside Farm to Fork Week, take a visit to Logie Estate where you will be greeted by Panny, part of the Laing family who own the estate, who will take you on a walk to see the pedigree heard of Longhorn Cattle.
You’ll learn why the farm fell in love with the quiet, well-tempered breed, what’s so special about them and how they are cared for. You’ll see the majestic mature cows, their calves, and two-year-old heifers and you’ll also be taken to see the stock bull and bullocks.
Round off your walk and talk with a visit to The Café at Logie Steading where Chef John will be using the Logie beef in a meaty specials menu running all week. You’ll also find a selection of the beef available to buy in the Logie Farm & Garden Shop.
Tours timings:
Monday 25th March: 11am – 12 noon
Thursday 28th March: 11am – 12 noon
